ZDaemon is a free port of Doom designed to provide a first-class multiplayer, internet gaming environment. All you need to be able to play ZDaemon is this package, a computer and an internet connection.

To join a game, simply click on the "ZDaemon Game Launcher" icon on your desktop. You will be asked to specify a nickname and password; once you specify them, press the "New Account" button. Then you will be presented with a list of game servers; you can play on any of them by double-clicking on the server name; if any game-related files are needed, ZDaemon will automatically search, download and install them for you.

To setup your own server, click on the "ZDaemon Server Launcher" icon in the "ZDaemon" program group. Then you will have to specify various server parameters and you should be well on your way to hosting your own server.
